Euoplo
Could someone explain the differences in the ecosystems of the Judith
River, Two Medicine, Oldfman, and Horseshoe Canyon
Formations? I known that Judith River is a floodplain envirnoment, Two
Medicine is a pretty much contemporaneous upland environment, and Horshoe
Canyon is Early Maastrichtian, but thats about it. I know nothing about
the Oldman Formation. Also, possibly a few words on faunal differences?
Also, AMNH 5266 (identified as a juvinile Euoplocephalus from
the Horseshoe canyon formation of Alberta) has apparently not been
reffered to E.tutus. Should it be called "Euoplocephalus sp."? How many
of the specimens attributed to the genus can be confidently assigned a
species?
The assistance of subscribers to this list has been invaluble, and I
greatly appreciate it.
