Introduction & Thanx

    Hello all,
    
        I figured that it ws about time to actually introduce myself 
here DESPITE ("dispite" isn't the Canadian spelling, just my bad one) 
my having already done some other posts. Let me start off by saying 
thank you to everyone who responded to my inquiry about the 
shortening of the year.

        As I said in the aformentioned question,  I'm a 1st year 
Geology student going to Mount Royal College here in Calgary, AB. I'm 
planning on finishing my BSc at the UofCalgary and then getting my 
remaining degrees in Paleo at God knows where. I'm also a member of 
the Alberta Palaeontological Society, and I do art and other assorted 
contributions for it's newsletter. One snazy tidbit about my history 
is that I used to live on a farm prior to my moving into the city to 
go to college; and on this farm we had cattle, horses, ostriches, and 
emus. It was pretty cool and it gave me some better insites into 
possible dinosaur behavior. By the way, I have yet to see an ostrich 
at a zoo that is not acting in almost exclusivly hostile posture, so 
I'm not to sure about the validity of that kind of observation(it's 
nice to just be able to look out one's window to observe).

        Oh yah, I also just turned 18(legal drinking age in Alberta), 
so collecting trips are a lot more fun! (Well actually, I don't 
drink...or smoke, or do drugs,...but I do have a strange sense of 
humour, tee hee!).
