Equally important as not including whole messages within your messages,
is to avoid mailing replies to the whole net which are better suited to
only the person who posted the original message.  We get lots of short
messages to the whole net (> 600!!) that would be better sent only to
the original poster.  Have a heart for those of us who are on many lists
for professional reasons!
