   Many people, including reporters (and myself, until I saw it discussed
here), read Giganotosaurus as GiganTOsaurus.  Gigantosaurus is, indeed, a
junior synonym of a sauropod (don't know which).  That may be the
explanation behind the picture of a sauropod.
