I'm just leaving this here to be contemplated and, most likely, later to
serve as an example of a message that "didn't age well," during a period in
which the geosciences are convulsing over the historical lack of
inclusiveness in the allied fields and in the STEM tracks leading to them.
I'm not sure what Ruben means by "paleontology" or "progressive," but if
paleontology isn't progressive, could be that's part of the problem.

P.S. For an example in the same genre of the way media flogs the public
image of paleontology as the Great White (Male) Hope, look no farther than
the execrable Dino Hunters. I'm thinking decidedly not progressive....
