Thanks for fixing my subject line typo in "rhinesuchid." Rhinesuchus comes from Greek rhine "file" for the rough texture of the skull bones, not from rhis, rhinos "nose, snout"... Fingers and brain not in sync...

How so? Temnospondyls are pretty often found in marine settings, not to mention brackish ones.
