I had in mind the most (in)famous historical example of 'Pareisactus'
- apparently this was the nickname (meaning 'Usurper') given to the
Egyptian king Ptolemy XI (80 BC). Ptolemy XI was installed as king of
Egypt by the Romans, but he was despised by his own people; he was
dragged from his palace in Alexandria by an angry mob and murdered.
