[dinosaur] Kids' Dinosaur Activities

This week was Dinosaur Week on Super Simple, the website that I create kids' science activities for. These are the three dinosaur activities I created; perhaps they'll be useful to any parents or educators on this list.

Scratch-off Dinosaur Skeletons:

Scratch away the dinosaur's body to reveal the bones underneath! Featuring the skeletal diagrams of Jaime Headden, used with his kind permission.

Paper Pterodactylus Puppet:

Created with the help of anatomical advice from John Conway, Michael Habib, Gabriel Ugueto, and Bruce Woollatt. (I know the eye is in the wrong place; I had no control over that and didn't see it until it was too late to change.)

How Big Was a Dinosaur?

Using string and sidewalk chalk to visualize the size of various dinosaurs.

Enjoy!
