Dear vrtpaleo list members,
On behalf of the organizing committees of the 8th International Symposium of Dinosaur Eggs and Babies, I am writing to you all regarding this coming event that will be held in the Qinglongshan National Geopark in Hubei, China onÂAugust 10-15, 2019. This conference is sponsored by the government of Shiyang City and the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology (Beijing, China).
The Qinglongshan National Geopark is located in Yunyang District, Shiyan City of Hubei Province, China. It is currently the only in situ protected site for dinosaur eggs and clutches. More than 100,000 eggs exposed on the slope provide a superb chance to understand the reproductive biology of dinosaurs. The meeting will be held in the museum that is associated to the protected sites in the National Geopark, representing a meeting hall in the field. In addition to a great number of dinosaur eggs and clutches, this area also produces the holotype of Yunxiansaurus hubei and Yunxian menÂ(Homo erectus).
We will send out the first circular that contains lists of keynote speakers, scientific committees, and organizing committees and detailed information this October.
We look forward to seeing you in the Qinglongshan National Geopark in the coming year!
Tzu-Ruei Yang (University of Bonn, Bonn, Germany) and Zhang Shukang (Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology, Beijing, China); Hu Yongguo (Director of the Qinglongshan National Geopark, Shiyan, Hubei Province, China)
