Well, it really doesn't mean much that the same matrix, with all its known 
problems (see Mickey Mortimer's blog posts, and hopefully soon a publication), 
gives the same result when analyzed differently.

The discussion of analysis methods in the "Background and Summary", especially 
of implied weighting (Goloboff et al., 2017 – ref. 14 of the new paper) strikes 
me as superficial. All analysis methods work when their assumptions happen to 
be fulfilled; this matrix is probably outside the range Goloboff et al. tested. 
More on that general issue in another upcoming publication.
