Abstract: A fragmentary tooth is reported from the Campanian section of the Upper Cretaceous
Himenoura Group on Shimokoshikishima Island of Kyushu, Japan. The tooth specimen is identified
as the medial root of a ceratopsid dinosaur. If this identification is correct, it represents a rare
example of the clade in Asia

Morphological changes of Protoceratops andrewsi skull with ontogenetic processes
Naturalistae 21: 1-6 (Feb. 2017)

Abstract: Replica skull specimens of Protoceratops andrewsi (Neoceratopsian, Protoceratopsidae),
which stored in Okayama University of Science, are described in the study. Specimens show baby,
subadult and adult, respectively. From baby to subadult, parietal and squamosal are increased to posterior
side. From subadult to adult, the squamosal increased more than parietal, and the frill expands
to dorsal side. The frill form of Protoceratops andrewsi can be characterized by these ontogenetic
changes of parietal and squamosal.
