The accompanying contemporary jazz soundtracks, however, are not much
to my taste---they don't really create the right mood for me and some
sound a bit too similar to music at the dentist's office (depending on
your dentist).

My suggestion when viewing these would be to mute the sound on the
Paleoart Studios videos and open YouTube in another window and get
background music from a video for Stravinsky's Rite of Spring
(Disney's idea that this music is evocative of primitive life was an
inspired idea), Debussy's  La Mer, Strauss's Also Sprach Zarathustra,
Hindemith's Mathis der Mahler, or another piece of imaginative and
mysterious-sounding orchestral music. Somebody might have other
suggestions for appropriate electronic pieces, etc.
