All four T. Rex band members are dead:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T._Rex_(band) . However, someone may own therights to the name.

Hey, at least he's right, "T. rex" is a cooler name than "Tyler". Notsure about how the (current ?) (former ?) band members would feel aboutco-opting the name, though.
