Course on Biomechanics and Finite Element Analysis
Dear Colleagues:
This is the last call for the course "Biomechanics and Finite Elements
Analysis", which may be of your interest. This course will be held in the
Museum of the ICP in Sabadell (Barcelona, Spain) on March 5-9 2012.
Instructors: Dr. Richard Fariña (Universidad de La República, Montevideo) and
Dr. Jordi Marcé-Nogué (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Barcelona).
The course intends to foster in the attendants the ability to use the
interdisciplinary approach of biomechanics. There will be an introduction to
the Finite Element Analysis. This technique consists of a computer model of a
material or design that is stressed and analyzed for specific results, which
permits modelling biological structures and understand how they worked and its
biomechanical limitations.
