They do indeed look that way, BUT only when you are looking at the wrong
image. Check them out via the link provided by Holtz -- it is clear they
are not feathers.
Actually, both links were posted by Holtz -- in the 1st link <http://www.spiegel.de/wissenschaft/natur/bild-791441-270907.html>, they look like bones. The second link will get you excited, as you say...
