Many mammals will also take eggs or hatchlings from nests. Brushtail possums
introduced to New
Zealand are quite adept at clearing the nests of endangered endemic birds.
Tasmanian devils will
also raid bird nests (although they haven't been introduced to New Zealand -
yet).
