Honest to goodness, this is less restricted to dinosaur paleontology than
you might think. There are many fields within the biological sciences with
hard core enthusiasts (and, consequently, taxonomic morasses): trilobite
paleontology, butterfly and beetle entomology, field ornithology, etc.
