help me identify this paper, please

Dear list,
I am desparately trying to find a publication I read a while ago that
details the results of an investigation of muscle and tendon scar size
in relation to actual muscle and tendon diameter. This was done on a
dog and a bear, IIRC.

No ideas what the title was, nor the authors, nor the journal. I only
remember that there was a correlation in one species, but not in the
other (IIRC, dog was good, bear was bad).

Any ideas?
