The Germans also called the Sherman's Tommy Cookers.

The British upgunned version of the Sherman, the Firefly with the 17
pounder which was the best anti-tank gun of the war, was very effective
against
Panthers and Tigers from D-Day on, but like other Sherman's was under
armored
and had its ammo located in a vulnerable position (resulting in the
Sherman's being called "Ronson lighters"). The Israelis did use even bigger
gunned
and more heavily armored Super Shermans against Soviet built tanks until the
early 70s.
There is no other really well known to Joe and Jane public tank name to
apply to ankylosaurs, many do not know about the T-34, Pershing, Centurion,
etc.
