Sounds like a buffet for crocodilians.
Exactly. If you're in a swamp and can't move quickly, the crocodiles will eat you alive. Goniopholidids had cutting edges on their teeth. None of this death roll business -- they could just come in and take a bite.
Aren't sauropod remains (especially, but not limited to, titanosaurs) common in dry environments?
Why would a sauropod, with its gracile shape and its air-sac system, need a swamp for thermoregulation?
Concerning relative and absolute power, the latter is needed to get out of a sticky trap, but the former is needed to get out of a swamp where gravity holds you in the mud in the first place and no leverage other than foot-against-mud is available.
