Half a wing is great for brooding. Search the archives for that word, 
perhaps together with the name of Thomas Hopp (who has weighed in on this 
list a few times). You're in for a surprise.

And if you don't like that, you can always waffle about display! :-)

The idea that wings must have evolved for flying is actually not logical at 
all...
