Gobiceratops minutus... and Volgadraco bogolubovi (new azhdarchid pterosaur)

The same issue also includes a description of a new pterosaur:

Averianov, A. O., M. S. Arkhangelsky and E. M. Pervushov. 2008. A New Late Cretaceous Azhdarchid (Pterosauria, Azhdarchidae) from the Volga Region. Paleontological Journal 42(6):634-642[?].

Abstract: A new azhdarchid genus and species, Volgadraco bogolubovi gen. et sp. nov., is described based on
an anterior fragment of the mandibular symphysis (mandibular beak) and some postcranial elements from the
Rybushka Formation (Upper Cretaceous, Lower Campanian) of the Shirokii Karamysh 2 locality, Saratov
Region. The new taxon is intermediate in size and vascularization of the mandibular beak between medium-
sized Turonian-Santonian azhdarchids (Azhdarcho, Bakonydraco) and the giant Maastrichtian azhdarchid
Quetzalcoatlus.

Subject: Gobiceratops minutus, a new bagaceratopid

A new supposed 'bagaceratopid' has been named in the latest issue of Paleontological Journal, by Alifanov

The Tiny Horned Dinosaur Gobiceratops minutus gen. et sp. nov. (Bagaceratopidae, Neoceratopsia) from the Upper Cretaceous of Mongolia

Abstract-A new horned dinosaur, Gobiceratops minutus gen. et sp. nov. (Bagaceratopidae, Neoceratopsia),
from the Upper Cretaceous Baruungoyot Formation of the Khermin Tsav locality (southern Mongolia) is
described based on a 3.5-cm-long skull. The nasal included in the orbital border suggests relationship between
the new taxon and Bagaceratops rozdestvenskyi. It is proposed that, unlike other neoceratopsian families, the
family Bagaceratopidae is of Paleoasiatic origin.
