I think we all owe a lot to Crichton, JP was a huge influence on a new  
generation of scientists, artists and closet dino-enthusiasts world  
wide (movie and book).  In the video presentation this year at SVP one  
young woman cited that seeing JP when she was 9 years old made her  
want to be a paleontologist.  I wonder how many more like her there are?
