China finally on top of dinosaur paleontology?
Good day,
just a short note. According to my personal statistics of dinosaur taxa, with
the three newly described dinosaur species (_Dongyangosaurus sinensis_,
_Quingxiusaurus youjiangensis_ and _Eomamenchisaurus yuanmousensis_) is China
finally the most prolific country in the world, when it comes to the number of
valid dinosaur non-avian genera. If my database is perfectly correct (which is
not certain) China has now 146 valid non-avian dinosaur genera, while US just
one less (145). IIRC, this is for the first time in about 130 years US are not
at the top.
Best Regards, Vlad
