Re: Specimen not in collection - usable?
This is one of thr reasons why I have been into virtualization. Using laser
scanners or photogrammetry we can capture very much of what the specimen is and
even generate, non-destructively, highly-detailed and accurate copies. Won't
work with every kind of specimen or get internal detail (yet) but it's a great
start.
