How is that supposed to work? The moon orbits the earth (near enough) so
has to spend as much time north as south of the equator, as well as equally
north and south of the ecliptic. Even if it was in a polar orbit (is that
the claim? - never heard it before) it would be in the north half the time,
and there would be plenty of dark nights.
