Absolutely! And the framers of the aforementioned US Constitution were quite
clear about private property...
An important if rarely mentioned point: intellectual property rights cannot be
protected w/out protecting privacy rights as well; it is entirely possible
these days (even easy) to steal and publish proprietary information as fast as
it is created.
