Two other things to keep in mind (I know that Mike and John are already 
aware of this), are
1)  Maximum structural bracing in the larger pterosaurs is oriented to 
accomodate launch loads rather than flight loads (quadrupedal launch).
2)  The lift and thrust vectors that can be generated by the wings during a 
bipedal launch are oriented in the wrong direction for flight initiation. 
They are oriented correctly for quadrupedal launch.
