Oh, avians are actually completely insignificant here. For eithere there has
been a reversion (possible but not highly likely), or therapsids had
modificational (environmental and/or dosage-dependent) sex determination right
up to the earliest radiations of mammals... and 300 Ma is a bit more than 150
;-)
