Congress on the history of dinosaur research
The conference "Dinosaurs -- An Historical Perspective" will be held on May
6th and 7th, 2008, at Burlington House, Piccadilly, London, UK.
Here is the call for papers:

Supérieure, Paris)
Dave Martill (University of Portsmouth)
Darren Naish (Universtiy of Portsmouth)
The theme:
The History of Dinosaur Research with particular emphasis on personalities,
major discoveries and expeditions; and the introduction, debate and
acceptance of major theories or principles associated with the greater
understanding of dinosaur taxonomy, palaeobiology and evolution.
Authors may also probe a cultural theme; exploring the role of artists and
animators and the influence they have on our perception of dinosaurs over
the last 180 years or more!
Abstracts:
Authors are requested to send an abstract of 500 words [I suppose that's the
maximum] by no later than Monday 28th January 2008 to
rtj.moody_at_virgin.net. Accepted abstracts will be printed in the
Conference Abstracts which will be made available to authors and delegates
at the conference. Specific papers will also be considered for inclusion in
a special publication.
Registration and Associated Events:
Registration will take place on the 5th of May. The conference will be
preceded by a visit to the Waterhouse-Hawkins models at Crystal Palace and
followed by visits to historic localities on the Isle of Wight and the
Dorset coast.
