An etymological note on the species name *proneneukos*:  it actually 
has nothing to do with Latin *pronus*.  Instead, it's a derivative (a 
perfect active participle, if you want to get technical) of the Greek 
verb *proneuein* 'to stoop or bend forward', like a rower or a rider on 
a horse.
