Estimating muscle mass based the gap between the fossilized skin and the 
bones on a mummy assumes the skin didn't move, droop or deform during 
the drying out phase or the fossilization.  This would seem a pretty 
good leap of faith to me.  I would have thought National Geographic 
would have learned its lesson with Archaeoraptor.
