     pant [-iau, m.] 
(n.)  hollow, valley, dell, dimple, dingle 

y (yr; 'r) 
(art.)  the 
"'r" is used after vowels; otherwise "yr" is  used before vowels 
     ("h" is a vowel); otherwise "y" is used. 

ffynnon [ffynhonnau, f.]  
(n.) fountain, well, spring
