German: die vorige = "the latest one". In other words, there was no expedition 
in 2005, unless the word has changed its meaning sometime in the last 2500 
years...

German: grob = "roughly", "superficially"... also "brutal", but that doesn't 
fit here :o) , so I'd suggest: "Generally speaking, the bone structure..." or 
"The general bone structure...".
