Australian Protosphyraena fossil discovered

It is claimed a pair of amateur fossil hunters has found a genus of fish
from the dinosaur era with the head of a swordfish and teeth that stick out
like mini-tusks.
The protosphyraena was a two-metre long carnivorous fish that has only been
found in Europe and America previously.
Tom and Sharon Hurley, from Andamooka in South Australia's north, have
discovered what could be the first ever Australian protosphyraena near
Boulia in western Queensland.
Mr Hurley says it is estimated to be 20 million years older than previous
finds...
