I had a copy of Ostrom's  _Strange World of the Dinosaurs_. It was 
illustrated by Joseph Sibal, who did  some bird paintings for Life Magazine, 
I suspect the  large comic you are thinking about is the "Classics 
Illustrated", _The  Illustrated Story of Prehistoric Animals_. On page 216 of 
Glut's 
_The Dinosaur  Scrapbook_ there is reproduced a page from the comic. I loaned 
my 
copy to a pal  who subsequently got religion and burned it along with my Turok 
collection. DV
