lost publications

Back in the late 60s there was a popular, general dinosaur book, fairly large
(about 8x11) that I think was authored by John Ostrom. The probably cloth
cover was white based as I recall. It covered dinosaurs genus by genus, and
each
one was illustrated by a large number of black and white illustrations that
were pretty well done for the time. There were a bunch on sale at the
Smithsonian gift shop in the late 70s but I did not have the cash that day.

In the early 60s there was a thick comic book about prehistory. Don't
remember the cover. There was one image of Cetiosaurus with the caption
explaining
that sauropod were so massive that they could lift only one foot of the ground
at a time. In another I think Tyrannosaurus was looking back towards a
sauropod. Towards the end there may have been a scene of Australian immigrants
doing
their best to exterminate the aborigines. It was falling apart when I tossed it
in my teens.

If anyone knows what the titles of these books are please let me know.
