A Giant Step in Evolution: Discovering the Link Between Fish and Limbed
Animals
Featuring: Dr. Ted Daeschler

Dr.Daeschler, Assistant Curator and Chair of the Academy's Department of
Vertebrate Zoology, talks about his expeditions to arctic Canada that
yielded Tiktaalik rosae a new species believed to represent a "missing link"
between fish and terrestrial life. Don't miss this chance to see the fish
that has grabbed headlines around the world and hear the fascinating tale of
scientific detective work.
Event is free but seating is limited.
Dr. Daeschler also will autograph copies of Two Worlds, a full-color print
from celebrated wildlife artist Ray Troll who created the artwork especially
to celebrate the discovery. The prints will be available at a nominal price
to cover production costs.
