It would be an interesting experiment to dye a deer carcass with an odorless, non-toxic fluorescent blue or fluorescent orange food coloring and see how the vultures (or ravens or whatever) react.
This experiment must have already been done somewhere. Its too cheap and simple not to have been tried.
