RE: New Titanosaur (Maxakalisaurus) from Brazil

  For the record,

If the paper being referred to is the Santucci & Bertini one from _Neues
Jährbuch_, then that paper does not name this Pierópolis sauropod, represented
by a dorsal centrum and a nearly complete dorsal vertebra. The name in the
subject line appears nowhere in the paper. The specimens are referred to
consistently by their specimen numbers, CPP 491 and CPP 494, respectively, for
the Centro de Pesquisas Paleontológicas L. I. Price, Peirópolis, Minas Gerais,
Brasíl. They derived from the Serra de Galga Member of the Marília Formation
(Maastrichtian), and are respectively (basal centrum length) 30 and 24+ cm.
Both are posterior in in the dorsal series, as the authors suggest.

  Cheers,
