Are you referring to the "boxkite" scenario?

I'm not sure that I know what the boxkite scenario is. If it involves wind, then no, I'm not referring to it.


A quetz could take off out of my front yard in a dead calm, and my front yard is tiny. When on land, I don't think the vast majority of pterosaurs depended upon wind for launch (I doubt that any did). That said, wind is kind of like scavenging. If it happens to be there when you want it, why not take advantage of it.
