'Walking with Monsters' or 'Before the Dinosaurs'

Well, the premier is over, and it was spectacular. If anything, the animation
has only improved since 2003's 'Sea Monsters' and looks quite slick. As with
the rest of the series, the chosen locales were striking and beautiful. I only
wish that the series had been three hours rather than half as long
as 'Dinosaurs' and 'Beasts'. After all, the Paleozoic is the longest of the
three Phanerozoic eras. It was excellent to see reconstructed some of the
animals for which I have long waited: Anomalocaris, Dimetrodon, a gorgonopsid,
etc. Also, my gratitude to the producers for working in Euparkeria; it was
nice to see the little fellow that got the archosaurian ball rolling.
As with any such show, there were errors, such as making it sound as though
Euparkeria was the forebear of only dinosaurs.
All things considered, it was a terrific show.
What did you think?
