Ornithodiran phylogeny - a graphical approach
Dear Listmembers,
Some time earlier it was asked here what graphic editing program one
could use to produce cladograms and among those mentioned was
Illustrator. Since I have that program, this week on a whim I decided
to do a vector phylogenetic tree of Ornithodira. And here is the
resulting work:

You may have to squint a bit: the original *.ai file fits snugly in a
1*1 meter frame and I used the smallest type size.
Since I based it off the last edit on the phylogenetic tree on the old
Dinosauricon I decided to veer off completely of anything marked with
a question mark and as I'm going to have to edit it thouroughly to
make it up to date I'd rather leave the *incertae sedis* for later in
the process.
Some time on I intend to layer this with a mesocenozoic timetable and
do a bit of geographic color-tagging.
Corrections and comments are not only very appreciated as sorely
needed to perhaps make this the source phylogeny for the DML ;o)
Oh and I plan to extend this to all Tetrapoda *shudder* if not to all
life *faint*
