need a 2nd opinion, Tamaulipasaurus
JVP 14(2): 180-194
Clark and Hernandez - A new burrowing diapsid from the Jurassic La Boca
Rormation of Tamaulipas, Mexico.
Here is a burrowing diapsid, very much like Amphisbaena (pictured on the
opposite page), except it has what appears to be a complete lower
temporal arch and a tiny eye socket (orbit) right about where one migh
expect to find a lacrimal duct.
Question is: Is that tiny fenestra an orbit? or a something else?
And why?
In my opinion, it is not an orbit.
Any thoughts?
