in the JP novel, Grant once stated something like "despite the majority of
people imagine dinosaurs as a giants, an average dinosaur was about a size
of a cow" (not exact quote).
- IIRC he says sheep, not cow.
- Before you think this is small, remind yourself that the average mammal is
the size of a rat. (I assume this estimate was arrived at by the same
undeclared method as the "average dinosaur"...)
