Flowering plants in the Jurassic-Cretaceous border?

 Were flowering plants at all abundant at the end of the Jurassic?

 We* were discussing this matter of a K-T--like event at the Jurassic's end,
and one of the big questions raised regarded flowering plants: would flowers
have survived?

 So I thought to ask experts.
