Re: on being a paleontologist

I am not a paleontologist either.  I don't find reading about long extinct 
animals depressing.  I did recently read a book about bird species that 
have become extinct in the last few centuries.  THAT depressed me.  I guess 
it has to do with the fact that most were caused by my own species.  Lynn
