Hemet Mastodon discovery

dear DML faculty,

    I'm interested in knowing if a non-fiction book has been written about 
the Pleistocene discoveries in Diamond Valley Lake, Hemet, California.  All 
I can find on this subject is newspaper accounts and sidebars.  I do know 
that Eric Scott and Kathleen Springer (San Bernadino County Museum of 
Paleontolgy) dug and catalogued the site, but I still haven't heard from 
them.
