RE: Ligers and tigrons - oh my!
Remember that in India (currently only the Gur Forest) tigers and lions live
in the same locale and remain distinct with little if any interbreeding (in a
Natl Geo book on East Africa by Loius Leakey a quarter century ago he
mentioned a possible tiger mandible from Africa, inspiring a restoration of a
tiger
feeding on an eland(?) on the savanna by Matternes).
