Re: birds and dinosaurs
this group is wonderful! i am loving reading about this!
the thunderbirds were around after the dinosaurs, right? i believe i read
that they probably went extinct due to large mammal carnivores moving into
south america when they two continents touched.
and, especially when it comes to parrots, one can definitely see the
reptile connection (those eyes are SO lizard) but, as we don't really know
what a dinosaurs eyes looked like, could be that, too!
do palentologists, et al., study their fossils with the realization that,
especially if it is just one example of a creature, that it could be a
fluke? and this is not asked sarcastically! i am wondering because the
current article about finding another small, ancient hominid skull made
me wonder if it is appropriate to jump to the conclusion that they were a
smaller
side branch of us, instead of possibly just being a small, single
individual?
blah blah, sorry! thanks for the responses. i love evolution! brought
me here! ;)
